ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

Developing sustainable consumption and production patterns means collaboration across and among disciplines. Researchers and professionals from chemistry, materials science, engineering, applied physics, and more will need to build on each other’s work to develop new materials that can be reused, remanufactured, recycled, or recovered; all while minimising hazardous waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

Materials science researchers have published a wealth of SDG-related research aimed at addressing these urgent issues. And to maximise their impact, they’ve chosen to publish it with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Here you’ll find a hand-picked selection of that research gathered on this page, published under many of our imprints, including Springer, Nature, and BMC; and from our society partners including the MRS, TMS, ASM, and others.

New Forums for Sustainable Materials Research

Chief Editor: Ali Stoddart

Launched in January 2022. The journal aims to bring together researchers from all areas of chemical and materials synthesis and has the goal of reporting synthetic approaches that either enhance our conceptual understanding of chemical or material entities, open up new ranges of accessible products that have a positive and practical impact on humankind or enable the sustainable production of chemicals and materials.  freely accessible throughout 2022.

Editor-in-Chief: Rodrigo Martins

An open access journal focusing on all aspects of materials science. It especially welcomes papers connected to so-called ‘green materials’, which offer unique properties including natural abundance, low toxicity, economically affordable and versatility in terms of physical and chemical properties.

Here is a list of  open for submissions.

Discover Materials is a part of , a collection of fully open access journals covering hot topics from across the full range of applied science, physical, life, medical and social disciplines.
